To the readers and onlookers of ‘The World of Myth’.
On September 6th, 2004, with the simple push of a button, “The World of Myth” was born online!
Today, welcome to a special edition of ‘Commentary!’ For this month only, I would like to express my thoughts on the last thirteen months, as they transpired here at ‘The World of Myth’. One thing that is in the forefront of my mind is just how fast this past year has flown by! It seems just a few months ago that all of us here launched our TK site, and now we call theworldofmyth.com home to our madness.
I sincerely hope that all of you have enjoyed the material we have presented this past year. We are STILL looking for ways to improve the site by adding, or occasionally removing columns and sections. Even though everything may appear to be just right—remember that we are never satisfied with our efforts, and like the content of the site itself, we continue to (hopefully) improve with each issue.
With that in mind, I would like to thank each and every submitter who has ever posted anything here to “TWoM”! And a special thanks go out to our continuing contributors, who month after month post their work for thousands of readers to see, all for (as Chief Scheerer often mentions) absolutely free. Without you guys, none of this would be possible!
So the big question is, “How are we going to top last year?”
Aside from the vast selection of stories, artwork and poetry presented over the past 12 months, we have been witness to great efforts like signing up to host exclusive movie trailers, the launch of our interactive Forum, the debut of our FYI, along with our Movie Review sections! And let’s not forget our interviews, where we sit down with top names in their fields and find out what they are up to.
It is going to be very difficult to make this coming year bigger and better, BUT we will! With new sections, a new store featuring books, CDs, DVDs and comics, along with many other surprises that we have planned for you!
So, last year was great and to take a page out of our movie reviews’ hand book, I give our effort Four Howls of Pleasure, but here’s to next year and a full-on fabulous Five!
Thank you all for your continuing support!
