Welcome to the 'Big', Tenth Issue of 'The World of Myth'. We have some special surprises in store for our readers this month, including the news that we have obtained exclusive rights to bring you current Movie Trailers, before the movies even hit the theatres. This is a new feature, obviously, and we expect to present several new trailers every week, so stop by periodically and see what's new at the 'Myth Movie Theatre' throughout the month.
Speaking of movies, it seems that Movie Goer Grim finally got his allowance last month and spent most of it at the cinema, as he has returned with a number of Movie Reviews to share with our readers. And, in keeping with the 'Arts' portion of the magazine, our Interview this month is with the songwriter and lead singer of the rock band, 'Creepersin', who also contributed a sample of his poetry to this issue. Tony James, Apryl Rogers and Kevin Magnus all return with new offerings in our poetry section, as well.
This month in the Story section, L.M. Mercer brings us Part Three of 'The Greenhouse Murders' and once again, we want to congratulate L.M. for collecting the Member of the Month honors (that's two months in a row) with Part Two of that story. David K. Montoya returns with another installment of 'The End' and L. Craig Woods, who contributed a few stories to our earlier issues, makes a come back with a new, serialized fantasy story.
In the Art section, David K. Montoya and I both offer different versions of what may await us as our end draws nigh and MOK brings us another of his 'Terrible Toons'.
Coming up in the July issue of 'The World of Myth', our contributing artist, MOK, along with your's truly, will team up to bring our readers a special tribute to a fantastic, gifted artist (one that influenced both of us, in different ways), Vaughn Bode, on the 30 year anniversary of his untimely death. Also next month, I hope to announce some important news regarding the upcoming publication of my first book, containing a number of my 'darker' short stories,
as well as some of my poetry that follows a similar vein.
To round out this issue, explore the 'Month in Myth' to discover just why it is that June is considered 'The' month to be married in, along with some relevant wedding trivia and information on the this month, in general. Readers might also notice that we now have a link that will take you to the 'Creepersin' web site. Check that out for (legal) music downloads and information about the band, among other things of interest. The only thing missing from this issue is the new, 'Zodiac of Myth' section that was promised last month. It seems that the 'Horrorscope' master had some unexpected health problems recently (and when are health problems ever 'expected'?), so that new section will hopefully be presented next month. Our apologies to everyone.
And, just in case anyone has been wondering, a few months ago we introduced a contest to see who would win an autographed copy of the 'Underground to Nowhere' comic when it comes out. Well, the winner of the autographed comic is--'Rick'. Congrats, dude, and Mr. Montoya will be contacting you within the next few weeks to obtain some pertinent information from you.
Okay, so that's about it from me, this month. Get out there and enjoy issue #10 of 'The World of Myth' and if you have any questions or comments, please let us know about them. And don't forget that we are always looking for new contributors--artists, as well as writers--to share their work with our readers. You may contact us via e-mail in the lower, left hand portion of this page.
