Welcome to our The Myth of... column, where each month we will try and bring you the truth behind a well known, or perhaps, a slightly lesser known Myth. One definition of the word 'myth' is: "A story or legend about a person, place or thing". Well, that's the short version, anyway. What isn't stated is that a 'myth', in order to actually become a Myth (with a capitol 'M'), is usually handed down as a story, fable or tale, for many, many generations and usually has its origin in antiquity (which simply means it probably started a bloody long time ago).
