TITLE:Dreams of Darkness, Dreams of Night
Author: Terry D. Scheerer

Author Terry D. Scheerer is in terrifyingly top form with his first collection of poetry and short stories in Dreams of Darkness, Dreams of Night. In this spine-chilling book Scheerer takes readers by their hands and leads them through the darkness of his creative mind. It is a nightmarish mind-scape of unrelenting pain and loss and shocking revelations that could only come from the imagination of one of the best storytellers of our time, but he also shares occasional glimpses of humor, as well as a hint of romance.

In the first half of the book which is the poetry section entitled, Dreams of Darkness, Scheerer searches for answers to thought-provoking questions as he analyzes his sanity, life, death, love, and the great beyond, all as part of his ultimate goal of finding eternal and everlasting peace.

In the second half of the book, Dreams of Night, the reader is brought into a dark and unholy world where Scheerer sets forth his true skill in a number of short stories, and with the power of his words outlines crystal clear and disturbing images of depression, suffering, destruction, pain, horror and death. In "The Very Idea" we find out where his ideas really come from and what the cost of those ideas truly are. Then in what may be one of the best sci-fi horror stories in decades, find out what happens when mankind learns there is a way to possibly live forever, if they pay a very foul price. In "Band of Gold" a deceased husband wants something done on earth so that his union with his wife, in and beyond the grave, will last for eternity. And then learn the fate of a boy who falls asleep after the funeral of a loved one and when he wakes up discovers that he is trapped inside a mausoleum until morning in, "To Dance with the Dead" — along with four more stories that will keep you awake until daybreak.

If you have never picked up one of Terry Scheerer's many stories, here’s your chance to do so. You will not be disappointed. A Trade Paperback copy of Terry D. Scheerer’s book, "Dreams of Darkness, Dreams of Night" may be purchased at the book site,, as well as our own Myth Mart, at Authors Bookshop and at Creepsmart.
