Special Edition: Story of the Month
|

The air, though cold, had a musty, ancient taste to it, as if undisturbed
by the faintest movement of fresh air for millennia. Thoughts of
Lovecraftian horror flooded my fevered brain as I strained my ears to
catch the slightest sound from up and down that dimly lighted passage...Click Here for Terry D. Scheerer's To Dance with the Dead Part Three!

Hey, y'all. Welcome to Issue SIX of the "World of Myth". This is a
short month, but we are going to cram as much stuff into this issue as we
can, so sit back and prepare to be amazed!
For those of you who are following "To Dance with the Dead", Part Two is
up and we should have Part Three posted in a couple of weeks. We would
also like to welcome our newest contributor to the site--L.M. Mercer has
been kind enough to submit several poems, as well as a short story that
(cringe) may just surprise some of you. We also have Senor Castro back
with us and he has submitted another poem of 'lost love', to which many
of us can empathize. Kevin Magnus is back, as well, with a couple of new
poems that speak to joy and loss and David Montoya has decided to try his
hand at prose, once again, with a new, serialized story. Mr. Montoya
also gets some press in the FYI column, as we get closer to the release
date of his new comic, "Underground to Nowhere".
Over in the "Movie Reviews", you get a double dose this month, as both
Movie Goer Grim and Reaper Rick take turns assaulting your senses with
their poor taste in movies. I wanted to have something special up this
month, since we will be (hopefully) sharing Valentine's Day with...you
know...someone, I suppose. But, "The Myth of..." was cancelled, so I
guess you'll just have to muddle through without knowing why you are
forced to go out and spend time and money on a bunch of crap for that
special 'loved one' every year on the 14th of February. Too bad. But,
anyway...
So, take your time and look around. There's a lot of new stuff to see,
here and there and if you don't see something that you would like to see,
let us know, either through the Forum, or directly via e-mail. It's hard
to believe that it has been six months already for the "World of Myth".
Yep, six months of hard work, pounding our little fingers down to the nub
on these bloody computer key boards, six months of staying up late at
night trying to get everything posted on time (which doesn't always
happen), having to deal with low life, slime sucking parasites, who don't
have enough intelligence to do anything with their time except make life
miserable for real, hard working people (I mean, of course: hackers).
Yep, we've put a lot of time, effort and hard work into this site over
the past few months. Did I mention that we do all of this without
compensation, of any sort, at all? None, zip, nada, the big 0. Did I?
Wait, I just got an e-mail. "STOP doing that or..."
Anyway. So, check out all of the new stories, poetry and hopefully there
will be some new artwork up in a day or two. Don't forget about FYI and
the Movie Reviews and stop by to see who manages to be Interviewed this
month. And, don't forget to stop by in a week or two and see what else
NEW has been posted. But most importantly--ENJOY!
