Be Well Come to our Winter Solstice, Yule Tide Holiday issue. This month
we offer a number of Holiday inspired works, but in true 'World of Myth'
tradition, none of them are actually very festive.
First off, however, I would like to invite everyone to stop by the Myth
Mart and see what's new, in there. "The World of Myth" 2007 calenders
should now be available, featuring 12 pieces of original artwork taken
from our art gallery this past year. Since we have so many different
artists represented in this year's calender, the cover is not signed, but
on the plus side they are slightly less expensive than last year. Also
soon to be available are 11x17 inch quality lithographs of some artwork
from the 2006 calenders, so stop by and see what's up at the Myth Mart.
In our Story section, Kevin Adams drops off a new short story of office
romance gone terribly wrong, returning contributor Mark E. DeLoy shares a
disturbing Christmas story and Steve Bolin offers up Part 2 of his
eight-legged alter ego. I should also mention that Mr. Bolin won Member
of the Month honors in November for Part 1 of this story.
Congratulations Steve on your second MOM win. Once again the voting was
quite tight, with David K. Montoya coming in a close second.
Mr. Montoya is presenting a pair of stories this month with another
chapter of his ongoing saga, "The End," as well as a short Humor piece,
and he also put together the Featured Writer section for this issue on
author Dan Brown.
In the Poetry section, L.M. Mercer, Kevin Magnus, Jeff R. Young and Ellen
Millman (formerly Ellen Lynch) all offer up new poems for your enjoyment.
The Art Gallery features work by David K. Montoya, Jonathan Fesmire,
Allen J. Speakman and Michael A. Sauve.
And don't forget to stop by the Movie Reviews to see what Moviegoer Grim
and Reaper Rick have been up to, while The Month in Myth offers an age
old look at the Holiday season.
Interviewed this month are Steve Bolin, November's MOM and coauthor of
the fantasy novel, "Black Rising," and Debra Kemp, author of "The House
of Pendragon Book I : The Firebrand." Ms. Kemp's book is also the
subject of this month's Book Review.
And just as a teaser (or perhaps a warning), next month we will once
again drag into our interview booth the King Creep himself, Creep
Creepersin, to find out about his new music, his recently published book
of poems and short stories and his sojourn into the realm of film making.
